These draft Terms will govern your use of TheftLink, operated by the TheftLink organization. They are published for transparency during the pre-launch period and are not yet in effect. Final terms will be posted before the Fall 2026 launch.
Not an emergency service
TheftLink is not a substitute for law enforcement, emergency services, or your delivery carrier. If you are witnessing a crime in progress or a public-safety emergency, call 911. Reports submitted here are not monitored in real time.
Pre-launch status
During the pre-launch period, TheftLink is not accepting live theft reports. The reporting form is provided for demonstration only; submissions are not stored, transmitted, or acted on.
Acceptable use
- Submit information you believe in good faith to be accurate.
- Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
- Do not submit content that identifies or accuses specific individuals as criminals; submit observations, not allegations of identity.
- Do not submit content that is harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful.
- Do not attempt to bypass security or rate-limit controls.
Probabilistic, human-reviewed analysis
Any pattern identification performed by TheftLink is probabilistic and reviewed by people before being shared externally. Identifying a possible pattern does not constitute a determination of guilt.
License you grant us
By submitting content once live reporting is enabled, you grant TheftLink a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, review, de-identify, aggregate, and share the content consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. TheftLink does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reports will result in any specific outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheftLink disclaims liability for any indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
